Remote Eye Tracking: State of the Art and Directions for Future Development

چکیده
Recent years have seen rapid developments in the field of remote eye tracking. Whereas only a few years ago the standard in eye tracking was for systems to be intrusive, i.e. they either required the user’s head to be fixated or equipment to be mounted on the user’s head, systems have now evolved to the point where the user can move freely in front of the system (within certain limits), and good accuracy (1 degree or better) is achieved throughout the whole working range. This has been demonstrated by a number of commercial and academic systems, both multi-camera (Beymer and Flickner, 2003; LC Technologies, 2006) and singlecamera (Tobii, 2002; SMI, 2006; Hennessey et al., 2006; Guestrin and Eizenman, 2006; Meyer et al., 2006). To clarify terms, we will use the term “remote eye tracking” here to mean a system that operates without contact with the user and permits free head movement within reasonable limits without losing tracking.

Introduction: Designing multimedia learning environments should consist of the evidence-based study and principals about the human learning process. Eye tracking is a way based on the learner processing of learning materials which presented in multimedia learning environments. متن کاملADAPTIVE FUZZY TRACKING CONTROL FOR A CLASS OF NONLINEAR SYSTEMS WITH UNKNOWN DISTRIBUTED TIME-VARYING DELAYS AND UNKNOWN CONTROL DIRECTIONS
In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy control scheme is proposed for a class of perturbed strict-feedback nonlinear systems with unknown discrete and distributed time-varying delays, and the proposed design method does not require a priori knowledge of the signs of the control gains.Based on the backstepping technique, the adaptive fuzzy controller is constructed. The main contributions of the paper...
متن کاملI-4: Male Fertility Preservation Options, Current State-of-The ART and Future Implications
Background Male infertility management has made significant progress during the past three decades, especially after the introduction of intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in 1992. However, many boys and men still suffer from primary testicular failure due to acquired or genetic causes. New and novel treatments are needed to address these issues. Spermatogenesis originates from spermatogon...

Introduction: According to the pain research literature, attentional bias for pain is the mechanism responsible for the development and maintenance of fear of pain in patients with chronic pain. However, there is still some debate about the exact mechanism and the role of faster engagement versus difficulty in disengagement in the development of attentional bias. Methods: To investigate ...
